Chris Knutsen Harp-Ukulele |
This newly discovered Knutsen harp-uke will be Inventory #HU40 in the Knutsen Archives (once I catch up). I've seen 3 of these, possibly representing an earlier model. It is more slender, with a longer headstock and more asymmetrical tuners. The neck is 3-piece with an attractive stripe down the middle (seen front and back, as Knutsen didn't use a fingerboard on his ukes). It also has a fancier rope binding where the three colored woods used are varying widths. It's got three easily repairable cracks shown below, and there is someone's finish patching around the bridge. Decent koa, and appears all original (other than tuners). - Gregg "Sir Gregory" Miner SOLD |
