Modern super-treble strings are simply plain steel guitar strings, available anywhere. We offer a line of coated strings in order to color code your bank of treble strings just as you would a harp! The standard "John Doan tuning" set comes with a red C and a blue F, with the remainder clear coated.* As with any coated strings, tonal brightness may be very slightly reduced - but with longer life, it's an easy tradeoff. These DR brand strings were tested and "blessed by the harp guitar pope" himself, Gregg Miner. * Note: John Doan does not use coated or colored strings himself for super-trebles |
