James Kline: Troubadour's
Odyssey
In Stock |
During the 11th century, in southern France , a special kind of musician and poet was born. The troubadour traveled and performed his own works, gathering and blending different musical influences. Since that time, the name troubadour has applied to musicians who have continued the tradition – like Kline, who performs throughout the streets and halls of France and beyond. Playing works by Pierre Bensusan, Philip Rosheger, Keith Jarrett, Everts, O'Carolan, and his own compositions, Jim creates an eclectic blend of classical, Celtic, folk, and jazz on perhaps his most personal release. James Kline: Baroque
Music
In Stock |
James was first introduced to the archguitar by the instrument's innovator Peter Blanchette. Seduced by its sweetness of sound and wide range of possibilities, he was immediately "converted". A combination of lute, 19th century guitar and contemporary design, the 11-string archguitar is ideally suited to the performance of a diverse cross-section of early music. Works by Sylvius Leopold Weiss (1686-1750); Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750); Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757). More >>> | $14.95 |

James Kline: Music
of the Lost
Cathedral
In Stock |
At the bottom of Mexico's spectacular Copper Canyon, a mysterious mission watches over the tiny hamlet of Satevo. "The Lost Cathedral" was probably built by Jesuits around 1740. The wonderful acoustics of the cathedral, and the magic of the rugged wilderness setting, inspired James to make a new recording dedicated to this mystical place. Traditional Mexican dances and folk songs, and works by: Santiago de Murcia (c.1683-?); Manuel M. Ponce (1886-1948); Johan Sebastion Bach (1685-1750). More >>> | $14.95 |

Renaissance and Celtic Music
